SKNT (aka DJ Skento)

Born in 1984–Carbonia, Sardinia

SKNT, aka DJ Skento, is a DJ, producer andvinyl collector whose career began in the second half of the 90s. Originally from Carbonia,in the South of Sardinia, he took his first steps in the musical universe through the sounds of
black music, with a predilection for hip hop, reggae,
funk, soul and RnB.

In 1998 he officially debuted as DJ Skento,
quickly establishing himself in the local scene,playing in the main clubs of Southern Sardinia and sharing the stage with Italian and international artists.

His spirit of collaboration led him to found projects such as Rising Rockaz and Bashment Hero Sound System, experiences that enriched his musical vision and pushed him towards new stylistic contaminations.

2012 marked a significant turning point in his artistic career: he moved to Sassari, where SKNT was born.

The varied environment of Northern Sardinia stimulated a new creativity in him and led him to try his hand at music production.

Without abandoning his activity as a DJ, SKNT created a sound project that merged his roots in black music with contemporary electronic music.

In 2016 he released his first official production, “Inner Power”, included in the album THANKS 1984.

Since then, he has continued to explore new sound territories.

Although he refuses labels, SKNT loves to define his music as Groovy, a term that encompasses all his influences: from Hip Hop to disco, from funk to house, from Mediterranean groove to UK garage.

SKNT is currently involved in several musical and artistic projects, including REVIBE, 45 BOYS, WHAT THA BOUNCE
and BEHIND THE STORE, as well as being one of the most active organizers of festivals and cultural events throughout
Sardinia.
